難波の南蛮、戎橋の夷。

Post Haste

And so it begins.  Barely more than a scant week left, and I shall be in an aluminum tube throwing me 600 miles an hour across the sea to Japan.  What happens then is anyone’s guess, but I have a good feeling about this.  I’ve done my homework, everything is in order, and there are people in the Old Capital eager to see me again.  The thing will take its course.  And even if I fail to find a generous corporate benefactor, I will have seen my old country again, for the first time in more than a year.

I’ve never been the blogging type, but there will be a lot on my mind and a lot before my eyes.  I feel I can do better than Facebook and the occasional e-mailed epistolary.  So here we go.  Let this my exercise in solipsism…BEGIN!
